The short version. Phone-Pal is an artificial voice you can call for company. Your first 60 minutes are free, once. After that a plan is $14.99 or $29.99 a month, or you can buy 100 minutes for $9.99 that never expire. You can cancel any time in one tap and you are never charged again. She is not an emergency service: dial 911 for emergencies, or call or text 988 if you are in crisis.
These terms are between you and the company that operates Phone-Pal (“we”, “us”). By calling the line or using this website, you agree to them. You need to be 18 or older to have an account.
She is an artificial voice: software that talks, listens, and remembers. She is not a person, and she will tell you so if you ask.
She is company. She is not medical care, mental-health treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or an emergency service, and nothing she says should be treated as any of those. She can be wrong. If something she says matters — a dose, a date, a dollar amount — check it with a person.
In an emergency, hang up and dial 911. If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time. She will point you there too, and her safety behaviour keeps working even when your balance is zero.
There is no username and no password. The number you call from is your account, and we store it only as a one-way hashed fingerprint rather than the number itself — see the privacy notice. To pay on the web you sign in by calling her and reading her a six-digit code, which connects this browser to your account for 30 days. Anyone who can call from your number can reach your account, so treat your phone the way you treat your keys.
Plan minutes reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over. Pack minutes are used only after the month's plan minutes are gone, and they carry over for as long as the account exists. Time is measured from when the call connects to when it ends.
When a plan's minutes run out and there are no pack minutes left, she does not cut you off mid-sentence: the next calls are shortened in steps — about five minutes, then two and a half, then one — and she tells you why and how to add time. On the free welcome tier, when the 60 minutes are used she says so warmly and points you at phone pal dot me slash pay.
Safety is never metered. Scam protection and the 911/988 posture run at any balance, including zero.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We do not ask for your name, email or address to take a payment.
A plan renews automatically each month at the price above until you cancel. To cancel, open the pay page and tap Manage or cancel — it takes one tap, there is no phone tree and nobody will try to talk you out of it. You keep the minutes you have already paid for until the end of the month you paid for; after that you are not charged again. You can also cancel by emailing richie@iris.church.
Refunds. If you bought a Add Time pack and have not used it, email us within 14 days and we will refund it. Beyond that, and for monthly plans, we do not usually refund time already available to you — but if something went wrong, tell us and we will make it right. Nothing here takes away a refund right your local law gives you.
If a payment fails, your plan may pause. Prices can change; if they do, we will tell you before the change hits your account, and you can cancel instead.
She calls you only when you asked her to — a reminder or a callback — and only between 8am and 9pm in your own local time. Ask her to stop and she stops.
Texting is off while carrier registration is pending. When it is available, she texts you only after you have texted her first or asked her on a call. Reply STOP to any text to end them, or HELP for contact details. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Ending texts does not cancel your plan, and cancelling your plan does not by itself stop texts — do both if you want both.
Calls are transcribed so she can remember you. Transcripts are deleted automatically after 30 days; what she has learned about you is kept until you ask her to forget. Say “forget me” on a call, or tap Delete my data on the pay page, and everything goes — see the privacy notice for the detail. Deleting your data does not automatically cancel a paid plan; cancel that too.
Please do not use the line to harass anyone, to break the law, to impersonate someone else, to resell access, or to hammer the service automatically. She will end a call that turns abusive, and we can suspend an account that is being used this way. If we ever suspend or close your account, we will refund the unused time you paid for.
We try hard to keep the line up, but this is a telephone service built on carriers, networks and third-party systems we do not control, and it will sometimes be unavailable. She will sometimes get things wrong. The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem. Some places do not allow that limit; where that is true, it does not apply to you.
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and we will flag anything significant. If you keep using the service after a change, that is your agreement to it. You can stop at any time by cancelling and asking her to forget you.
Placeholder pending counsel review: governing law, venue, and any dispute-resolution or arbitration provision will be stated here before launch. Until then, nothing in this section waives any right you have.
Everything on this website can also be done by voice — call +1 (908) 774-8864 and ask. These pages are built to work with large text, screen readers and keyboard navigation; if anything here is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it.
